The Centre for Ecological and Community Development (CECD Rainforest) is a registered non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Nigeria, dedicated to the conservation of tropical rainforests, biodiversity protection, and sustainable community development. CECD works at the intersection of environmental protection and human livelihoods, ensuring that natural ecosystems are preserved while improving the socio-economic wellbeing of local and indigenous communities. Operating primarily within the Niger Delta region, CECD focuses on rainforest, mangrove, and coastal ecosystems that are critical for climate regulation, biodiversity conservation, and community survival.
